Platipus® Stealth Anchors are lightweight corrosion resistant anchors that do not disturb the soil during installation. The anchors are hand or power driven from ground level using conventional portable equipment. Due to the shape of the anchor and the offset attachment point of the wire tendon, when a load is applied, the anchor will rotate in the ground by up to 90° and load-lock. As the load exerted on the soil by the anchor system increases, a body of soil above the anchor is compressed and provides resistance to any further anchor movement. Platipus® Stealth Anchors are available in a variety of sizes and metals. GSI stocks the most popular size aluminum anchors, but will be happy to order any style you need. Additional Information: |

| Using a Drive Rod, the anchor is driven to its required depth. | Remove the Drive Rod from the body of the anchor. | Loadlock the anchor by applying a load to the wire tendon. |
Drive Rods are produced from heat treated steel bar. The drive end is machined to fit into anchors in the 'Stealth' range. The drive head is available in two designs suitable for either hand or powered installation. The Hand Drive Rod (HDR) head is rounded for installation using a post-rammer or sledgehammer. The Power Drive Rod (PDR) head is shanked to fit a percussive breaker.

The Plati-Hook® is a simple tool used for load-locking lightweight anchor systems quickly and efficiently by hand. The hook is placed through the eye of the anchor system. By pulling up on the handle the anchor will rotate and load-lock. The lightweight Manual Stressing Jack is capable of load-locking an anchor system up to 3375/lbf and up to 45 degrees.
